Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

Ladies meet Connor Mead (MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY) a celebrity photographer who loves the bachelor lifestyle; he works hard but parties harder. Connor is a ladies' man who doesn't even have to think twice to break up with 3 women on a conference call while getting ready for his new date. However on his brother's wedding night, Connor is visited by 3 ghosts who all aim to show him how shallow he has become and they aim to change his player ways.

Connor the serial sex addict has to change his ways if he wants to win back the girl and save the wedding, but before all of this he is whisked back in time scrooge style to see how he became the way he is today. We see that Connors parents died somehow and Connor then had to go and live with his uncle (Douglas) who was not much of a parenting figure at all but did teach Connor how to pull the ladies.

We then see that the only meaningful relationship Connor had with any one was a girl called Jenny (Jenifer Gardner) however Jenny breaks Connors heart by dancing with some other guy at a school disco which then sends Connor on a downward spiral that involves a lot of sex along the way.

When Connor then attends his brother's wedding and sees that Jenny is there it brings back a flood of old memories however Jenny is the only girl alive it seems that can resist Connor meads charm. Connor is a train wreck and doesn't believe in love so obviously he doesn't care and lets everyone else know what he thinks about love in the practice ceremony which doesn't go down well.

The story in the Ghosts of girlfriends past is pretty predictable and it comes quite clear that Conner is eventually going to wreck the wedding and eventually fix everything but it's funny to watch along the way, like most chick flicks this movie has a lot of comedy when It needs to and has some sad elements towards the end to get the females among us crying. Overall ghosts of girlfriends past is a funny movie that is worth watching if you're looking for some laughs.

The only gripe I have with the movie is McCONAUGHEY's voice which at times is completely annoying; however this could just be me. Ghost of Girlfriends past is awarded a spooky 3 out of 5 stars.
